The only dedicated pirate history tour in Panama. Our guide Diego spent 3 years excavating the ruins you'll visit. The hidden treasure finale? His invention. Guests applaud.
In 1671, the Welsh pirate Henry Morgan led one of history's most audacious raids — sacking the original Panama City, the wealthiest city in the Americas, and burning it to the ground. On this tour, we follow his trail through the ruins, legends and hidden corners of old Panama.
Starting at the sea walls where Morgan's forces landed, your guide will bring to life the dramatic story of the raid — the city's desperate defenders, the march through jungle, and the three weeks of looting that followed. You'll visit the ruins left by the fire, hear tales of buried treasure, and see the strategic geography that made Casco Viejo easier to defend when the city was rebuilt in 1673.
Equal parts history lesson and adventure story, the pirate tour is our most theatrical offering — and the one guests remember longest.
